The Carnival has been a popular annual event held on the 2nd Saturday of July. Beginning with a colourful Carnival Parade the entertainment continues throughout the afternoon in Burnham Park. In recent years a number of different community groups have been involved in running the Carnival and BCA is extremely grateful to all concerned for their help and support. The Carnival is BCA’s major fundraising event. In 2015 the Carnival had “French Connections” as the theme. See pictures below.
In 2016 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of BCA, a Village Fete was held in Burnham Park with Traylens funfair, charity stalls, barbecue and entertainments together with a prize draw.
The 2017 Event will take place on Saturday 8th July from 12 to 4pm and has been badged as the Burnham Library Village Fete. Traylen’s FunFair will be present and there will be a range of charity stalls in the area behind the Library. In addition there will be a barbecue, and ice cream van plus the event will be supported by a Prize Draw with some excellent prizes.
Burnham Village Fete is being planned for Saturday 14th July, 2018 in the main park, again with Traylen’s Fun Fair and a range of stalls and facilities. Watch this website for further details early in 2018.
